Dr. Muhamad Jumaa has been with Synergy University Dubai since 2022. He received his PhD in Economics with an excellent grade in Damascus University in 2002. Dr. Muhamad Jumaa also completed a Master’s degree in Financial and Monetary Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He has had over 20 years of extensive academic experience and more than 9 years of professional experience with the industry. The latter includes working as a Member of Board of Directors at Popular Credit Bank; Deputy Head of Research, Planning and Statistics directorate at the Central Bank of Syria; Head of the Commission of Banking and Insurance in the ESCWA Region for facilitating transportation and commerce as well as a Deputy Head of Research, Planning and Statistics directorate at the Central Bank of Syria. His academic experience includes multiple positions at various universities in the UAE and Syria.
